A2, complete — the big portrait

Module 4 of the free Spanish course (CEFR A2, completed), lesson 30 of 30: The Basic band's content is now yours: two past tenses, present, near future, reflexives, pronouns, agreement, comparisons. On this page: 7 words with their genders and respellings, the rule, a watch-out line and the audio — the study notes behind the workbook's QR.

La regla · The rule

The Basic band's content is now yours: two past tenses, present, near future, reflexives, pronouns, agreement, comparisons — and the words of home, school, town, food, clothes and travel.

Y también · And also

The exit ticket: ten sentences about your life — who you are, your day (one reflexive), yesterday (both pasts), your next trip (ir a), and one opinion (era…). Module 5 turns all of it into mastery: the full review, the exam shapes, and the bridge into B1.

Ojo · Watch out

orgulloso (proud) takes de: estoy orgulloso de mí. And it agrees: orgulloso for a boy or a man, orgullosa for a girl or a woman — with estar, because pride is how you feel.

Do it now — on paper

  1. Say all 7 words aloud twice from the respelling, then once from the Spanish spelling alone — begin with orgulloso.
  2. Copy every word with its accents on paper; then cover the English column and write each meaning back from the Spanish.
  3. Write two sentences of your own that get the watch-out line right, then the two practice pages of workbook lesson 30 in Module 4 are the written half of this page.

This free course is the reading half. The writing half — write-in lessons, daily practice pages with built-in review, self-checks and a full answer key — is the companion workbook series, The Spanish Ladder: one workbook per module, fifteen in all, released band by band with the Basic band (Modules 1–5) first.
